Chk this out! Multiple perspectives in Mughal miniature painting combined to create depth...with emphasis on the aerial perspective! https://twitter.com/PaulMMCooper/status/992071895582470151

So colourful and quaint...it's remarkable how you captured this aerial shot! reminded of some indian miniature paintings where unlike the golden point renaissance perspective the structures, esp of buildings, the royal courts and courtyards and gardens are all depicted aerially to create a depth of field, esp the mughal miniatures! This cluster shows the density of habitation and also represents the architecture of this locale. The late 19th century and mid-20th century mill district of Bombay is/was similar to this...now replaced by high-rise apartments!

Thank you so much, and a very interesting comparison -- I should check out that style of painting! Here the aerial perspective of the royal court is fact: the palace is at the top of a very steep hill, with a number of fascinating views.

Wonderful Alex. I had never pictured Madagascar to have scenes like this. Aloha
Alex Lapidus replied:
Many thanks Heidi! This is the country's largest city, so there aren't too many spots with this kind of density and activity.
