Alien Abduction Friday version: After decades of work and trillions of zlants, the Nyryx had accomplished the near-impossible: They had finally developed the perfect defensive cloaking system for all their spacegoing craft. Requiring the development of several new branches of physics, this advance would let Them pop in and out of our own little corner of the galaxy with impunity. Commander Glorx sat tall and proud as he gave the order for the first actual test landing on our defenseless planet. And then the landing lights came on. Whatever passed for His palm hit whatever passed for His face with a meaty smack.
