It's hard to say exactly how we ended up alone in the enclosure with the lions. Okay, they were very small lions. And there were three of us, so there would probably be someone left to call for help. But, well, they're lions after all.
There were signs... that didn't exactly say you couldn't go in there. There was a gate, with a lock, but it was unlocked. The Lion Park advertises that you can visit the cubs close up, so we just thought it would be alright to pop in and say hi.
So we've been in there (long enough for me to get 44 photos, which isn't really terribly long), and finally a staff member comes over and yells, "hey, you aren't supposed to be in there!" And we start howling with laughter, as it suddenly occurs to us that we've just shut ourselves into an enclosure along with the (tiny baby) lions, and I think we all started imagining the potential headlines for the next day's paper.
