Bijan Pirnia
a higly artistic rendition of an ancient story. just a bit of trivia : Did you know that nowhere in the Bible do we read that the forbidden fruit was an apple ? It could have been a banana. Apple as being the forbidden fruit was a later invention. It's not in the Bible. It is more likely that the forbidden fruit may have been a fig, since Adam and Eve covered " their shame" (genitalia) with a fig leaf. Of course, the story of Adam and Eve did not originate with the Bible. It's orginally a pagan story that predates Christianity by several thousand years.
Alex Lapidus replied:
Thanks very much Bijan! I certainly wasn't seeking any sort of "authenticity," just trying to communicate an idea -- and I just happened to have a polished marble apple with a gold leaf hanging around the house :-)
